How can Existing Taxpayers authenticate their Aadhaar on the GST Portal? Here’s how!

1) Registered taxpayers need to go to My Profile link, post login. A pop-up question will be displayed: Would you like to authenticate Aadhaar or upload e-KYC documents of Partner/ Promoter and Primary Authorized Signatory?

2) You can choose from the two options: “Yes” navigate my profile OR “Remind me later”

3) After navigating to My Profile, you will have 2 options to check their Aadhaar Authentication Status • SEND AADHAAR AUTHENTICATION LINK • UPLOAD E-KYC DOCUMENTS: To do E-KYC taxpayers need to select the UPLOAD E-KYC DOCUMENTS option – upload the documents for Primary Authorized Signatory – selected (one) Promoter/ Partner

4) Select the Send Aadhaar Authentication link, the link will be sent to the Promoter and the Primary authorised signatory selected on email or mobile number shared in GST registration application

Note: • Only one Promoter/ Partner can be selected by the taxpayers • Aadhaar authentication is applicable only for the citizens and residents of India

5) The shared link will open a window for Aadhaar Authentication. Enter your Aadhaar number, an OTP will be sent by the Aadhaar system-UIDAI on the mobile number linked with your Aadhaar

6) After entering the OTP,UIDAI system will validate the Aadhaar and share your demographic details with your photograph which will be stored in GST database
